Underneath the Dampness, there's usually Spleen weakness. The Spleen in TCM is the organ responsible for transforming food into energy. It's a chain reaction: weak Spleen creates Dampness, Dampness blocks the Stomach, the Stomach rebels upward, and you feel nauseous.

What May Help Settle Your Stomach

Eat smaller, more frequent meals rather than three big ones. A weak Spleen handles small portions much better than large ones. And avoid eating while stressed or rushed, since emotional tension can directly affect the Stomach's descending function.
